Cebu Blog Camp 2011

I love writing. And I think I can write. Blogging is a different story though. RSS codes and stuff frustrate me. I attempted web-ranting err blogging about anything over the web right around Friendster's heyday. And I created this blog circa 2009 which became more like a high school kid's journal. Gawd. Very recently, I decided to give almost-serious blogging a try. I re-read posts and ended up with leaving uhm none. The things that you write when you're drowning with naivete. Meanwhile, while Friendster is officially dying on the 31st, this blog site is officially under rehab, and what's better to do to get everything started is to be part of an enlightening blogging cult, the Cebu Blog Camp 2011.

Pondering, I came up with almost ahem a thousand (blog)life-changing reasons why I love-want-need to be part of the camp. And here are 5 of them:

  • It's the end of the world, every other month, and I haven't blogged "well" enough.
  • I need to meet other happy people who think blogging is the next best thing to intoxication.
  • The camp is open to "would be" cool bloggers.
  • I love to write and I "can't" blog.
  • When I grow up I want to be Perez Hilton and/or Insoi Ninal.

The Cebu Blog Camp is an event organized annually by the Cebu Bloggers of the Blog and Soul Movement which is the educating leg of the Philippine Blog Awards Inc. which has been running for already four years. This is the largest gathering of bloggers in Cebu.
